What is in the box
The Exotic Collection Box is four bags in one order: freeze-dried frog legs, whole baby octopus, raw scallops and 18 whole quail eggs, one ingredient each. Most dogs have never eaten any of them, and most owners cannot guess which will be the hit. One box answers that, and the next order can be a full bag of the favorite.
- Freeze-dried frog legs. One ingredient. A leg, not a molded shape, listed for medium and large adult dogs, so read the frog legs page before you open the bag.
- Freeze-dried baby octopus. One ingredient, a whole small octopus per piece with the tentacles intact. The octopus page covers the smell and the uneven piece sizes.
- Freeze-dried scallops. One ingredient, freeze dried raw with nothing added. Pieces run small. More on the scallops page.
- Quail eggs, 18 whole eggs, freeze-dried. One ingredient: raw whole quail eggs, shell included. Cracked pieces and shell dust are normal. The quail eggs page covers handling.
The frog legs, octopus, scallops and quail eggs are imported, then freeze dried in small batches. Nothing in the box is made just for the box; it is the same four bags sold one at a time, packed together.
Why a box
One order shows you which of four new proteins your dog actually goes for, at a lower price than the four bags bought one at a time. That is the whole pitch. Buy a full bag of octopus on a hunch and you may end up owning something your dog sniffs once and walks away from. Open the box instead and the dog does the choosing. It is the same logic as a test drive, except the dog is the one driving.
If your dog cannot have one of the four, the box is the wrong buy, because all four bags ship together. Pick the three that suit your dog from their own pages instead; each has its own buy button.
The box next to the four bags
The store prices the box below the four bags bought one at a time. The table lists each bag next to the box; the buy button above and the cart show the current price.
| Item | Price |
|---|---|
| Frog legs, 1 oz | $15 |
| Baby octopus, 2 oz | $12 |
| Scallops, 2 oz | $25 |
| Quail eggs, 18 count | $20 |
| Exotic Collection Box, all four | $64.80 |
Shipping terms are in the shipping policy, and the cart shows what applies to your order.
Serving
Open one bag at a time, so you know which one your dog actually liked. Snap pieces down for a smaller dog. Keep fresh water out, and stay within reach while the dog works on a piece. Wash your hands after handling the raw scallops and quail eggs. Treats are meant for intermittent or supplemental feeding and are not a complete diet.
For the five-ingredient seafood medley instead of single bags, see Captain's Catch. For what the phrase "novel protein" means on a label, see novel protein treats.
Questions
What is in the box?
One bag each of freeze-dried frog legs, freeze-dried baby octopus, freeze-dried scallops and freeze-dried quail eggs, with 18 whole eggs in the egg bag. Every bag holds one ingredient. They are the same four bags sold on their own pages, packed in one box.
How much does it save?
The store prices the box under the four bags bought separately. The table above lists each bag beside the box, and the buy button shows the current price for the box itself. The cart shows the total for your order before you pay.
What if my dog cannot have one of the four?
Then the box is the wrong buy, since all four bags ship together and none can be swapped out. Pick the three that suit your dog from their own pages instead; each one has its own buy button, and the cart will take all three at once.
Is it for cats too?
The box is listed for dogs. Three of the bags inside, the octopus, the scallops and the quail eggs, are listed for cats on their own pages. The frog legs are listed for dogs only, so we make no claim for the box as a whole.
Is anything in the box not single ingredient?
No. Each of the four bags holds one ingredient: frog legs, baby octopus, scallops or raw whole quail eggs. There is no coating, seasoning or filler in any of them, and the quail eggs come with the shell. The five-ingredient seafood medley is a different product and is not in this box.
Can I buy one of the four bags on its own?
Yes. Each bag has its own page with its own buy button: frog legs, baby octopus, scallops and quail eggs. The quail eggs page also sells the other egg counts, which the box does not.
